What does a Behaviour Support Practitioner do?

What are the responsibilities of a Behaviour Support Practitioner?
Behaviour Support Practitioners have an important role in helping Participants with behaviours of concern stay safe. They need to complete various reports to show how they manage the behaviour and meet the requirements of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

What are restrictive practices?
Positive Behaviour Support also aims to reduce and eliminate the use of Restrictive Practices. Restrictive Practices are ways of stopping or changing challenging behaviour to keep NDIS Participants and the people that support them safe. Restrictive Practices can remove a NDIS Participants’ rights and stop them from doing what they want to do or going where they want to go.
